We (Kevin and Anthony) first met at a ski trip during their early undergrad days at Berkeley. Anthony tried to help defrost the windshield through the sunroof while Kevin drove through a blizzard. Since then we've been friends, coding partners, dorm-mates, roommates, and now co-founders.

We started thinking about ketchup about a year ago. Kevin was talking to a buddy of ours about the debt ceiling crisis. Our friend complained about how hard it was to piece together how things had gotten so bad. To catch him up to speed, we had brief him of the events that occurred in the past weeks and months. And that really speaks to how the news is broken today. Publishers are so focused on what JUST happened that they leave out a lot of historic details.
