Prior to being named Pace School’s chief executive officer, Karen was vice president of program operations for nearly a decade at Lutheran Social Services, an organization that offers foster and residential care for children and youth and international adoption services, as well as assistance for refugees and people with disabilities.
Throughout her career, she’s also been integrally involved in community organizations dedicated to the well being of children and those with disabilities. She was president of the New Hampshire Partners in Service for Children, Youth and Families; a parent aide for Monadnock Family Services; and a family mediator for You, Inc., which provides a wide range of programs for troubled and at-risk children and their families. She is also past member of the Federation of State Medical Boards.
Lamoureux earned a master’s degree in Organizational Management/Human Services from New England College, and graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in management and finance. She grew up in North Huntington, Pa., and now resides in Monroeville with her husband and two daughters.
